About Nordic Strays
Nordic Strays e.V. was founded in 2022 to help street dogs and cats in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina live a better life. Their work focuses on sustainable animal welfare through medical care, neutering projects and support on site.
Together with partners in Split and Kotor Varos, the team helps sick, injured and abandoned animals with treatment, feeding, safe care and support on their way to adoption.

Nordic Strays
Medical care
Nordic Strays supports the treatment of sick, injured and weakened street dogs and cats. Donations help finance veterinary visits, operations, vaccinations and urgent medical care.
Neutering projects
Regular neutering is a key part of reducing suffering in the long term. The association promotes these projects locally to help decrease the stray population sustainably.
Feeding & daily care
Together with local partners, animals are provided with food, care and the essentials they need until a safer future becomes possible.
Safety & temporary shelter
Animals in need are brought to safety, cared for and accompanied through recovery so they can gradually prepare for the next chapter in life.
Adoption support
Nordic Strays also supports the adoption of abandoned dogs and cats and helps them on their way to a suitable home in Germany.
Education & awareness
In addition to direct rescue work, the association focuses on education and awareness to improve the situation for stray animals in the long run.
